The Gallery Martin Glanz Mobiliar is providing the platform for llot llovs new turned wall sculptures. These wooden objects are inspired by electro technical isolators and literally carry their eccentric forms to the extreme – in sizes never seen before. The knitted lamps 'Ray' and 'Matt' underline the presentation. Supported by the company VELTINS llot llov specially invite the public to have a drink with them at the 19.01 in the Gallery Martin Glanz Mobiliar.

HEIMATDESIGN is an organisation aiming to connect people on an over-regional level. In collaboration with the economic development trust Dortmund, the exhibition series DORTMUND.KREATIV.stars introduces 12x2 creative positions each year, juxtaposing regional and over-regional art and design: Photography meets furniture design, illustration interacts with fashion, etc. This unusual pairing of creative teams produces a new and interesting level of discourse. As the autonomous parties enter a month of correspondence, discussing their thoughts and attitudes towards and in their work, they might find that a connection evolves, in other cases, the boundaries and differences become more obvious. It’s a fascinating process, to say the least. During December llot llov is showing an installation of Matt lamps and the photographer Marc Ansorg is exhibiting new works. An interesting visual match and a visit worth!

NO NEED FOR NOTHING is a film in four rooms as a statement in 3D. The content consists of a debate of the protagonists and masterminds from the Berliner design scene who create symbols and let their lovingly  created objects express themselves. A series of interviews with Designers such as TINA ROEDER, HERMANN WEIZZENEGGER, MARK BRAUN , MY BAUHUAS IS BETTER THAN YOURS and LLOT LLOV concern themselves with themes such as authorship design, narrative design, the boarder between art and design, design-discourse, avantgarde design and views and opinions on contemporary design.
Exhibits from LLOT LLOV, LINA SALEEM and TINA ROEDER symbolise the new generation of the creative world which is rather creating messages than just solving a problem.

A grey diamond- That would be the most precise short description for the Ruby Store.

The rooms are shaded in different tones of grey in order to enhance the natural depth of the location.
Breaking the colour, different materials and surfaces like grey glass, old wood, knitted lamps and lacquered boards are strewn in between.
The reigning theme of the diamond is reflected in the rhombus shape of the clothing rails as well as the cupboard fronts.
In the back room, we created an intimate and elegant atmosphere for the proper presentation of the evening robes.
Over dimensional ornamental strips are stretching through the full length of the room, forming the top rim of the changing room in the end.
At the cashier’s desk, being the last stop for the client, all the elements meet and merge- tension and harmony of the different design essentials culminate in the last “polish” of the diamond. The overall expression of the space can be defined as modern but homely, strict, but playful.
Each part of the space radiates its own special vibration and atmosphere.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The topic of the pieces shown in Milan is: The Reminiscence of Decadence
Considering what is currently happening on the global scene, meaning the virtual as well as the real world, llot llov feels a strong urge to set a formative counterstatement against the rising hysteria.
The well-known idiom about the glass being half full or half empty reminds us that the evaluation of a situation is always a matter of perception. The spectator either classifies him/herself as a pessimist or an optimist by his/her choice of reaction.
The Design Studio llot llov takes position by saying „the glass is full - full to the rim“ .
There are always numerous possibilities in finding new ways of handling matters, but in times of total instability and change, they are bigger than ever. If old values are no longer valid, they make room for the definition of new frameworks. The combination of the well- known with the extraordinary produces a provocative tension. Let’s go forward at full strength- don’t let the tension bring you down.

The title of this project 'The Freestyle Principle' alludes to spontaneous, accidental and improvised actions, which lead to the new and unexpected.Within music and various kinds of sports, for example, 'freestyle' refers to a form of improvised performance.
Everywhere consumers are generating new uses for objects without being fully aware of it. These usages are random but they nevertheless part of an general order. The multi-faceted usage of certain everyday objects is hence conventional in itself.
The Observations of the extended use of objects within the home were reason to start designing. The furniture shown values the intuitive uses and tries to approach the consumer as co-designer. The user designs the product by using the object in a different way or context from its original purpose - design through incorrect use.
The user is invited to do which he knows not to but does nevertheless. Be freestyle and don't follow the rules.
'Sit on the table, throw things on the shelves, put out your cigarette on the dishes - here it's allowed!'

The design initiative Create Berlin presents the exhibition "CREATE BERLIN GOES LONDON”" from September 18th - 21st, 2008, in London, England.
When the London Design Festival takes place from September 18th - 21st, Berlin will occupy a special place in the British capital. The exhibition shown in the Dray Walk Gallery, will present twenty interdisciplinary projects by Berlin creatives on the theme "Berlin: 20 Years of the Creative Metropolis" in commemoration of the upcoming 20-year anniversary in 2009 of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The exhibition will take place at the Dray Walk Gallery on the premises of the Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, East London, E1 6 QL, and will showcase ideas, concepts and projects reflecting the state of creativity in the German capital.
llot llov and Lala Berlin projected the "division of space" theme onto a number of objects (lamp shapes), which, by means of an additional element (rope), evolved into something novel - an aesthetic and functioning lamp sculpture.

From 16th to 24th August 2008 new talents - the junge biennale köln presents upcoming artists of the areas of media, art, film, music and design in the frame of the unique architectural ensemble of the Rheinauhafen in Cologne.
llot llov / L. Hirches contribution at the Rheinauhafen (TSPOPS – The Secret Privatisation of Public Space) re-raises the question of personal needs and use of public space by offering humorous ideas for an appropriation of public space for everyone. Her interventions (...) are carefully placed hidden objects, adapting their camouflage-like appearance to the environment. They can only be uncovered by meticulous reconnaissance. Inconspicuous city furniture like electrical cubicles, traffic signs, observation cameras, advertising columns or seat stones often receive no consideration and thus, their apparently well-defined intend use is diverted and converted into a creative self-exploiting of personal needs. In moving freely among the public and private spheres, design forces us to ask whether the distinction we still draw between them adequately describes our world today. The authors assembled in this volume - including, among others, Bazon Brock, Gesche Joost, Uta Brandes, and Luigi Blau - reflect on this question and provide a wide array of insights into its answer. Llot llov / Lena Hirche has the chance to publish the work "The Secret Privatisation of Public Space" throught this book, so buy and read!

In the form of satellite events dispersed throughout the entire city of Berlin, national and international exhibitors, design groups, as well as local creative talents join forces while taking part in thematic exhibitions, group shows and open studios all along the exhibition circuit. llot llov will be a part of the "Made in Berlin" exhibition.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15 Berlin design offices present themselves at this year's Milan furniture exhibition and trade fair "Salon del Mobile" (16th to 21st of April, 2008) under the name "made in Berlin". The presentation will be the biggest appearance of Berlin-made Design shown internationally up to date.

Placed in the local popular design district "Zona Tortona", the German product designers will show and answer to an international audience of manufacturers, buyers and journalists. The exhibition is curated by Werner Aisslinger (product designer) and Francois Burkhardt (Design theorist, author, Art Director at Thonet and former curator of the Centre George Pompidou, Paris). The presentation of Berlin in the design city of Milan is unmistakable and characteristic: the exhibits will be shown in the "Berlin Design Dome", with the dome being a symbiosis of the Berlin TV tower as a well-known symbol for the city, in conjunction with a geodetical dome tent. The show will be on for a week.
