The design for the milk & honey lounge area at bread &butter fashion fair 2006 followed the given poetry theme with a hint of goth added by us. A series of elements emerged following this line of thought, all lacquered in shiny black and arranged in a strict formal order.
The ten-metre bar stretch was reduced to a minimal form in order to create a sense of lightness by taking away the usual bar front and replacing it with fragile-looking, profiled table legs. With its shiny, black finish, the bar looked like an over-dimensional grand piano.
The DJ-desk was modelled after the shape of a church organ, complete with real organ pipes. As in a church, the acoustics of the space were designed to support the atmosphere of the mis-en-scéne in the room.
